The Waves of Life

The Waves of Life by Robert Neest A child is born, a new and different soul Who enters into changing waves of life That carry him from birth until his death Through sorrow, joy, despair and happiness. The childhood starts as blessing and great joy For caring parents that are nurturing Before emerging in the cruel world Where people always want what others have. As growing up, the goals are aiming high At fame and glory, being known around, And money, riches, to dispose at will, The happiness to own more than the rest. At last, the waves of life are reaching shore, To spread across when hitting the firm ground And then are going back into the sea Becoming parts of new tides that arise.

The Old Musician

The O ld M usician by Robert Neest A couple of dark clouds are moving fast Among few lighter covering the sight Surrounded by the summer deep blue sky Above the busy morning hours street. Next to the road an old man sitting down, With weary suit that ha s seen better days, Is following the people with his eyes While playing merry songs on violin. Around, there are few children watching him, With dirty clothes and messy hair they stand And listen closely to the tunes he plays While their eyes are fixed upon the man. Some other persons hastily passing by, Well dressed and looking busy they go on, Are throwing looks when getting near him Or raising their brows they look aside .
