Waiting

Waiting  by Robert Neest A tall and wooden window’s open wide  And lets the early summer sunshine slip  Inside the dimly lit and narrow room  And draw few feeble shadows on the walls.  Beside the window stands a girl and looks  Towards a very distant place, away  From where she stays with shoulders brought in front  While arms are tightly held around her waist.  She wears a lively coloured graceful dress  With stylish shoes that are her favourite pair  And light shines on her nicely done hair  To make her look so beautiful and young.  With trembling hands she reads again the message,  As she has done since she received the news,  When several tears are falling from her eyes  And then are slowly rolling down her face.

The Last Judge

The Last Judge by Robert Neest A strong and righteous man was living once Defeating all his foes on every time And everywhere he met them, fought and won, As many as they were, they always lost. The villains tried in many different ways Without succeeding to upset the man Until they paid a woman to find out The secret of the power that he had. She was a cunning and nice looking girl That after few attempts discovered how To make him lose his strength and let them take The honest man as their prisoner. They took him bound to their distant land And gathered all to celebrate the win While giving him the chance he didn’t miss To slay more than he ever did before.

To Know

To Know by Robert Neest To know is our goal since we are born T o watch and listen, learn what we observe In our lives and everywhere around The facts, the truth and all there is about. When growing up we feel so many times That honesty and courage one should bear When following the goals along the path That’s chosen to pursue throughout the life. The good intentions and the learning meet In fortunate conditions, now and then, And lead to happy situations when Who wants to help knows how to do it, too. H owever, many times we see around That foolish people use the things they know To hurt those they are meeting and themselves Ignoring what the knowledge can achieve.

Social Goals

Social Goals by Robert Neest Since they are born, the people live in groups, They’re doing things together, interact, And their families, the school or work, Make marks on their lives on every day. We see so many times they can adjust And change themselves so they could fit and live As part of something bigger and enjoy The social pleasures of the human bonds. There are some cases when the persons try To be themselves and live as they would think It would be most appropriate for them And build a world where they would have a place. The history we learn is showing that The world has always changed since ancient times Because of people that just didn’t want To go along accepting what there was.

The Guitar Player

T he G uitar P layer by Robert Neest While sitting on a long and wooden chair A lonely girl is playing the guitar And wh en the left hand slowly moves along The right hand gently touches the mild strings. The room is empty and the lights are dimmed, The walls are dark and distant around her And hidden from the sight of any one But still surrounding her from every side. The woman has a white and lovely dress With wide black belt surrounding her small waist, A blue thin ribbon holding her red hair While looks aside with white and sorry face. A noise is heard and makes her raise her eyes, The door is open and the light fills in, She’s standing while her eyes have tears of joy And stretches out her arms when seeing him.

The different goods that they disposed at will And varied services they could enjoy Were made and all provided by a horde Of overworked exhausted needy folks. As were displeased by seeing such poor things That stained the bright and splendid scene they built The leading persons made a plan that said They should restrain the trifling populace . Why

Why by Robert Neest There are some people living among us, Most of the time they’re rich with higher ranks And looking down on everybody as They think themselves superior to all. When seeing that they have all they would need And even more while others strive to live Is giving them a pleasure they enjoy And makes them feel accomplished their li ves . So many times they’ re doing harm around, To see folks suffer being their goal And live the main desire they possess To be the bigger, better, s tronger ones. The sweet and mighty moment’s passi ng fast, Th en feel an emptiness that grows inside While letting them without the knowledge why It is themselves the ones that suffer most.
